It seems like Link is opening up a bit under Allen's influence and his own attachment, while simultaneously being in denial about it if he ever thinks about it. That sort of thing is ridiculously fun to watch, and I hope Hoshino doesn't drop Link's internal conflict subplot that she set up so well.

Besides, Link certainly managed to develop a few hobbies, so I figured they're allowed a few things as long as it doesn't interfere with their duties. If they're seen as elite soldiers, that measure of respect might earn them those allowances...gah, I don't know, all I have is headcanon based on vague impressions.
