Definitely, definitely. Why do all these awesome characters get left out? D: I swear the majority of fic revolves around Allen, Kanda, Lavi and Lenalee or some semblance of it. Which is all well and good until you want variety. |D Ooh, thanks for those, I'll check them out! >D
Well Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. And Noah put a curse on Ham's son Canaan. I don't know where Hoshino is going with this, but I think the Noah are descendants of the cursed line. One line in the article that convinced me of that was this: “Mar Ephrem the Syrian said: When Noah awoke and was told what Canaan did. . .Noah said, ‘Cursed be Canaan and may God make his face black,’ and immediately the face of Canaan changed; so did of his father Ham, and their white faces became black and dark and their color changed.”
If that doesn't sound like the Hoshino's Noahs I don't know what does. :O I think the Noah are the descendants of Canaan, who was probably out for revenge after that, which is why they're out to destroy God/the world with the Earl.
...I have too much time on my hands. XD I think on some level Tyki might have resisted the change. He seems like the kind to fight back against any sudden changes. Which would explain the dormant tentacle monster lying in wake.
Oh god the angst. For the twins it'd be like losing MORE than half of yourself, because their twin is also technically their other half too. Which reminds me of this ongoing angsty comic of the twins I saw on a Japanese fanart site...I can't remember the whole plot, but at one point Devit shoots Jasdero and when the Noah cry, only one side of their face leaks tears. D: Aaagh the angst! hahaha knowing Allen he might try something of the sort, he's that kind of person. Though I have to wonder what the Earl would do...it'd definitely be interesting to find out. D:
