Thanks! There needs to be more Noah fic--especially fic about Jasdevi. (But I have a couple fic recs! I recently discovered two fics concerning Tiki's recovery from his fully-awakened monster self: yang/yin (http://community.livejournal.com/eiasraintales/17230.html) by [livejournal.com profile] empath_eia and Without You (http://community.livejournal.com/dgray_flashfic/30085.html#cutid1) by [profile] nagaina_ryuuoh. I read them and was very impressed. The second one is particularly moving. You should check them out if you haven't already--and the writers' other fics, at least some of which also feature Tiki and/or Rhode.)

During her first appearance, Rhode told Allen that the Noah Clan inherited Noah's genes. Of course, if DGray is based off Biblical literalism, then everyone has inherited Noah's genes. Even if it isn't, the genes must have spread through a lot of humanity by now, and since the Noahs all come from different places it's not like there's a certain group predisposed to Noah-ness. There must be something else going on too.

We only have Skinn's flashback to refer to, but it seems like a partly physical change. He didn't have a moment where he got to choose whether to become a Noah, though, so I'm guessing it's not a matter of choice...? Unless Tiki resisted becoming a Noah, resulting in a partial awakening and a dormant tentacle-monster...? That would be interesting.

Yeah, it was probably shock. Another sign that it was very traumatic. That's why Tiki took up drinking alone at midnight, even if he recovered quickly from his loss. Someone losing their Noah-ness would be the perfect angst plotline, like Tiki's halfway was. (I was hoping for Rhode to stab a lot more people after that incident. I mean, she had an actual excuse for it!) Can you imagine if one of the twins were de-Noahed? It would be HORRIBLE. Good thing I don't feel like writing angst. XD You're right, though, it would be fascinating if it happened in the manga. Would the Earl kill them? Let them live? I hope it wouldn't be solved by Allen saying, "Well, you're good now, come with me! :D" because that would be too simple.
